Assistance

All universities provide assistance to students with disabilities and special educational needs. Most universities have services in order to ensure that these students are fully and effectively included as members of the university's community. Whether in terms of access to education and training or research and services, we strive to guarantee the right of all students to inclusive education in accordance with the principles of non-discrimination, equal opportunities and universal accessibility.

Additional funds

Furthermore, the Erasmus programme provides additional funds to these students. If you think this might apply to you, ask your international office for more information on the application procedure.

Documentation

Your host University will probably ask you to submit some or all of the following documents in order to evaluate your needs and provide you with the right support:

  • Photocopy of your passport or ID number
  • A valid certificate, currently in force, which legally recognizes the disability in question.
  • A report describing the adaptations at the student’s home university or centre.
  • Any other relevant supporting documents that the applicant feels should be taken into consideration
