Depending on your situation and your financial priorities, the cost of living could influence your decision about where you travel to or if you decide to travel at all. This short budgeting exercise will help you to think about and research the various kinds of expenses you will need to plan for while abroad. It will help you to understand the cost of living in the countries that interest you and how to draft a budget by using a budget calculator.
The time needed for this exercise will depend on how detailed your research is and how many destinations you wish to research. We estimate drafting a budget for one destination should take about 20 minutes.
At the end of it you will have a draft budget to help you make your decision.
